Popup Blocker Guide

There are a number of popup blockers, however, as with other types of programs and tools, some are garbage, or even install malware.

I don't have a freeware popup blocker recomendation for Internet Explorer.

I recommend NOT using Internet Explorer. Use Firefox if you want the most secure and fastest browser.

Use Internet Explorer if you want to use the most vulnerable browser and like exposing your computer to unneccessary threats.

IE7 and IE8 have several built in tools, such as popup blocking and phishing filter. I am not impressed by those features of IE, as I still have to clean more infections from computers using IE than any other browser.

 

Ad Block Plus

Ad Block Plus (ABP) is a free addon for Firefox, and is an excellent popup blocker.

When you install ABP, only subscribe to one service. Subscribing to more than one list will adversly affect your web browsing.
